Grain Storage Silos

APISA - Grain Storage Warehouse

The warehouse is specifically designed for grain storage and may also be used as an agricultural machinery store.
These warehouses are usually have a pitched roof and are clad with profiled galvanized metal panels with a one meter high perimeter concrete wall.

APISA - Elevated Silos

They are designed using the gravity discharge in factories producing fodder, flour and for seed storage. These are the most common silos in industrial drying installations sunflower, soya, corn, sorghum, rice, etc. The Silos incorporate a metal discharge hopper and need no-structural roof supports. They have a lower hopper at angles of 45º, 47º, 60º (according to the degree of fluidity of the stored product). The storage volume is lower than the silos with concrete foundation. These silos range from 4.55m dia x 3.42m high, to 9.10m dia x 17.14 m high.

APISA - Silos With Conical Foundations

Silos with conical or flat base on concrete foundation. These are used for long term storage of large quantities of grain, seeds and granulated products typically wheat, corn, oats, sorghum, rye, rice, soya, sunflower, pellets, etc. These silos have self-supporting roofs of 30º to 45º pitch to suit the angle of repose of the grain thus maximizing the capacity of the storage silo. The roof may incorporate structural support depending on the silo diameter and the roof loading. The silos provided by APISA range from 3.64 m dia x 4.45 m high to 31.84 m dia x 38.409 m high.

APISA - Cereal Dryers

Traditionally, cereal drying has been the principle area of expertise of APISA. Today, it is able to respond all the needs of the market. The installations that APISA offers to its customers include the reception, drying and storage of cereals.APISA manufactures column dryers with a capacity to process typically between 2.000 Kg/h to 80.000 Kg/h, although they can also be made for higher production rates.

APISA - Special Dryers

APISA’s experience in cereal and fodder drying, has allowed them to apply drying technology to other products according to the customer demands. Depending on the product different drying techniques can be applied, consistent with the highest quality and low cost.

Small Fodder Plant

Because of the importance for the farmer to produce fodder, APISA can offer fibrous or flour based fodder factories. The most important piece of equipment in these factories is the ACEMO discs mill and the VARIMIX raw material doser, developed by APISA. The “VARIMIX” factories are characterized by their simplicity, as they do not have a mixer.
