The manufacture of nets for the aquaculture and fishing industry is the oldest activity Badinotti performs. Since 1910, with the opening of the first nets factory in Milan. Currently, Badinotti Group has 3 production plants, strategically located in different places of the world, such as Slovakia, Peru and Chile, where nets of different fiber types and characteristics are manufactured, according to the needs of the market and each one of our customers. All Badinotti Group factories, both nets production, manufacturing and / or assembly, are equipped with quality laboratories, responsible for carrying out rigorous quality tests of the fibers used as raw material and testing our final products in their various production processes. These procedures are validated and certified under international standards such as the ISO 9001 standard and the Norwegian certification NS9415 standard.

The nets coating is very common in the aquaculture industry, since it allows to waterproof and add greater durability to the cages, improving their overall performance. Badinotti Group provides all types of net coating for the industry, based on water or another product, being the antifouling the most used. This is supplied by our exclusive provider, the Norwegian company Steen Hansen and its Aquanet series. The AquaNet series is a water-based antifouling system, designed for fish farming nets, result of 30 years of experience, development and tests carried out in close cooperation with the aquaculture industry. The range of products offered in this series has been specifically developed to provide complete net protection throughout its useful life. The Antifouling impregnation service is granted by Badinotii Group in its Services Stations located in Canada, Chile and Slovakia.

The incrustation of marine organisms in fish farming nets and protection, is a problem for the aquaculture industry. The nets periodic cleaning provides our customers a significant improvement in the quality of their growing environment, allowing a greater water flow through the nets (oxygen), in addition to reducing the risks of net breakage and / or force dynamics not modeled in the anchorages. In addition to washing nets in our workshops, Badinotti Group has been concerned with developing other cleaning systems that adapt to the industry needs and preferences. This is how, today, Badinotti Services Canada provides on-site washing service.

Badinotti Services Canada has been manufacturing and maintaining industrial tarps for the marine industry for many years, with a unique experience that makes it one of the most competitive companies in the market. Badinotti offers tarps for all existing needs in the aquaculture market, as they are; plankton tarpaulins, barge tarps, containment barriers, treatment tarps and many other products. Our technicians are trained to work with both sewing and welding equipment, so we are can handle any request and requirement of our customers globally. During 2017, Badinotti Services Chile begins to manufacture this product.

Badinotti Marine rents tug services for barges, platforms, cages that are used in the aquaculture and fishing industry. The experience of our crews allows us to offer a first-class service for the industry, focused and committed to meeting deadlines and ensuring that your towed device will reach its final destination perfectly. Clear evidence of the experience described above, is the development of more than 20 trailers with Gabarra, in the XII Region of Magallanes.

Our steel cages have been specifically designed taking into account current and future operational and safety needs. We provide an integral service focused on the constant improvement and optimization of resources. In order to achieve this, we use our intimate knowledge of netting, mooring and cages, to cater for each client´s specific needs and the unique environmental characteristics of each location.

Badinotti´s HDPE plastic cages have been supplied to farmers in many different countries. We can build the cages in different sizes and designs according to species, farm location and customer special requirements. Our objective is to give our customers products tailored to their specific needs, in order to provide superior performance. We have experience designing custom solutions from sheltered locations to offshore solutions, and achieve this with the supoort of an experienced engineering team trained in the latest simulation technology.

Submersible cages allow farmers to handle several environmental issues, for example: Ice flows. Shipping, Ice flows, and other large floating objects can cause severe damage to floating cages. Algal blooms. Some locations are prone to toxic algal blooms that can decimate fish stocks. Fortunately, toxic algae are usually not found at depths lower than 15 to 20m.  Sinking cages during these events will help protect the fish stocks. Sea lice are easier to control and less costly when stocks are kept at 15-20m depth. Low oxygen events can be handled better as deeper, colder waters tend to have better oxygen levels. Submersible cages allow farmers to use exposed locations that may be conveniently located but are too risky to install normal floating cages.
