Because greenhouse facility EBITDA is very sensitive to net yield, farm operators are under pressure to optimize processes, primarily focusing on reduced plant lifecycle. To double revenue, operators have to double their greenhouse footprint, which will necessarily require a multi-million capital investment. Even if underlying processes and market position is strong enough to support the investment case, construction and related supply chain interruptions can seriously dampen the viability of the operator to navigate through such delays.
