In addition to the introduction of our second generation of mealworm breeding boxes, we are now pleased to announce our entirely new black soldier fly (BSF) breeding box. We received requests from various sources for a higher breeding box with a greater volume specifically designed for BSF-based protein production. The ingenious proportions of the box in relation to breeding and stacking height make the box ideal for achieving high yields and returns. In addition to a great deal of heat, a lot of CO2 and ammonia are produced during the breeding process. The box has open corners together with a uniquely designed long side, especially for this purpose. Together with the new smooth base this provides for improved airflow, which increases air displacement. This makes it possible to achieve a more even climate between boxes.

This narrow strawberry tray (175 mm) makes it possible to grow more strawberry plants per square metre. This immediately saves on costs due to the improved utilisation of space and yields a 12% increase in plant production over the existing tray. The cup spacing has also been optimised with this new 18-hole tray. For a full tray field the plants, measured from any point of the (plant) cup, are equally spaced at 105 mm. This produces a more homogeneous plant.

Beekenkamp has developed a 34-hole strawberry tray with a cup volume of 85 cc for propagating strawberry plug plants, also known as “Misted tip” plants. The 34-hole strawberry tray 85 cc has extra-high feet, which means that the roots never touch the ground, ensuring a much lower failure rate than in one-off deep-draw trays. The 34-hole tray is available in 2 heights, measured from the plant cup to the ground: 35 mm and 55 mm.
