Wood products are manufactured by bonding wood material (e.g., veneer, fibers, particles, and strands) or agricultural fiber, typically with resin under heat and pressure. A number of pollutants are emitted from wood product manufacturing processes – acetaldehyde, acrolein, formaldehyde, methanol, phenol, and propionaldehyde – and abatement and product recovery are required.

The food manufacturing industry contains companies involved in processing raw food materials, packaging, and distributing them. This includes fresh, prepared foods as well as packaged foods.
