The Claydon TerraBlade inter-row hoe is a low-cost, mechanical method of controlling weeds in combinable, band-sown crops. It provides an additional weapon in the agricultural industry’s weed control armoury at a time when the efficacy of some herbicides is decreasing whilst the cost of control is increasing. Band sowing at 30cm leaves a 14-15cm-wide unseeded strip between the rows which can be mechanically hoed.

Straw harrowing is the best way to encourage weeds to germinate.  Creating a quick and effective germination of weed seeds is essential in any direct drilling or min till establishment system. The Claydon Straw Harrow will encourage weeds to germinate quickly from the same depth at the same time. Because weed seeds are mixed into the top 30mm of soil, all weeds will germinate.

The 3m Hybrid M3F steps up from the M3 with a larger capacity hopper at 2,100 which can be divided 50:50 to apply fertiliser at the same time as drilling, either above the seed or below it. The M3F comes with a full range of rear toolbar and seeding set-up options. The leading tine can also be swapped for the LD lower disturbance set-up, and a drawbar and front toolbar fitted to transform into a trailed drill.  The M3F has a power requirement of 150 hp.

The 3m Hybrid M3 is one of the most popular mounted drills in the range with owner-operators. With a 1,750 hopper and a 150hp power requirement, the M3 can drill up to 20 hectares a day. It comes with a full range of rear toolbar and seeding set-up options. The leading tine can also be swapped out for the LD lower disturbance set-up, and a drawbar and front toolbar added to transform into a trailed drill.

The 4m Hybrid M4 has a hopper capacity of 1,750l and comes with a full range of rear toolbar and seeding set-up options. The leading tine can also be swapped out for the LD lower disturbance set-up.  The M4 has a power requirement of 200 hp.

The 5m seed only Evolution drill has a hopper capacity of 1,910 litres and comes with a full range of rear toolbar and seeding set-up options. The leading tine can also be swapped out for the LD lower disturbance set-up.  GPS speed sensing, electronically driven metering systems and a 4-channel drill computer are fitted as standard.  The M4 has a recommended minimum power requirement of 250 hp.

The 4.8m seed only Evolution drill has a hopper capacity of 1,910 litres and comes with a full range of rear toolbar and seeding set-up options. The leading tine can also be swapped out for the LD lower disturbance set-up.  GPS speed sensing, electronically driven metering systems and a 4-channel drill computer are fitted as standard.  The M4 has a recommended minimum power requirement of 240 hp.

The 3m Hybrid T3 is configured by fitting a trailing kit to the 3m mounted Hybrid M3 or M3F drills and can be retrofitted. Flexible and manoeuvrable, this little workhorse is capable of high output establishment.
