The world`s only brush cutter with a hydraulically operated rotating debris shroud. Developed in response to safety concerns over ejected debris, the XL 480SB brush cutter features a 180-degree rotating shroud; giving you the ultimate in control. This development makes it possible to work near houses, roadways, utility poles, etc, with a much lower risk compared to any other brushcutter.

The XL 480S brush cutter is Identical to the XL 480 SB, but without a third boom extension. Brush cutter safety is our number one concern, guiding all product development with an emphasis on low RPM mulching disks. The latest evolution in this design is our patented hydraulically operated rotating shroud. Mulched debris can now be directed in a controlled manner with the press of a button. This rotating guard coupled with a low RPM mulching disk is intrinsically the safest brush cutter design available.

The XL 480B is an XL 480 (below) with a third boom, serving up a price and performance that is hard to beat. Brand new for 2007, the XL480B brush cutter is an exciting addition to the "SLASHBUSTER"® family of excavator attachments. Featuring a 48 inch cutting swath and a patented third boom with material handler, this attachment cuts and mulches brush and trees up to eight inches in diameter.

The XL 480 brush cutter features a more enclosed shroud design than our other models. The "SLASHBUSTER"® XL 480 brush cutter attachment is a leader in low-cost maintenance mowers. The standard configuration includes a blade bar assembly with a 48 inch swath, ideal for mulching material up through six inches in diameter when mounted on a small 10 to 14 ton excavator. Installed on a larger excavator, the XL 480 with "S-7" mulching disk becomes more efficient in larger material such as an occasional eight inch or larger stem. The tilt mount and a material handler are productive options on this model. Custom XL 480 brush cutter installation integrating an existing PSM® quick coupler/release mount, Helac® powertilt® tilt mount and PSM® hydraulic thumb.

Bridging the gap between mid-sized and mini excavators, the XL460 brush cutter attaches to compact excavators in the 6-8 ton class and is capable of mulching brush and stems up to 3" in diameter. The XL 460 maintenance mower has blades with free swinging tips that swing (or "flail") back to absorb the impact of larger material rather than stalling or damaging the blade. This flail blade design makes the XL460 attachment an excellent performer on compact (3-10 ton) excavators. Featuring a 46 inch tip-to-tip cutting swath the flail mower blades rotate at up to 800 rounds per minute making this model is most effective in lighter material less than three inches in diameter. Although the XL460 has the capacity to occasionally mulch larger material it does not have the same capability of our larger models mounted on larger excavators.

Purpose-built for its application, the XL 330 mini excavator brush cutter attachment excels in maintenance brushing. Small in size, it still shares the extra-durable triple-welded construction of our larger brush cutter models. D&M Machine developed the XL 330 brush cutter to meet the special needs of small excavators. Although mulching large diameter trees is beyond its capability, the XL 330 performs as intended; shredding brush and small trees up to 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Expand the capabilities of your backhoe with an SG240 stump grinder. Patented guide cones make stump removal easy by helping prevent stalls of the cutting wheel. Grinds below soil level by digging, raking and trenching with the double heel rack. The cutting teeth are safely enclosed in the shroud, providing more protection than open designs.
