Slurry tanks

Slurry tanks are used to aid in precoat preparation. Precoating is accomplished by circulating a slurry of filter aid and clean liquid from a slurry tank through the filter press and back to the tank, depositing the filter aid on the filter cloth. The purpose of the precoat is to give additional clarity to the filtrate, prevent blinding of the filter cloth, and to facilitate the dropping of the filter `cake.`
