As a professional grower, you want a system which delivers healthy plants of consistent quality while being easy to operate and to maintain.  You need to produce for substantially lower costs and with few or no plants out of grade. When properly installed and managed with reasonable care, Florimat systems do that. Florimat 2 is for use outdoors and for most crops under cover.  Florimat 5 is for use under cover by growers who use water to control the habit of their crops.

In 1998 we started to build on work being done at Efford by Dr. Tim Pettitt and his team on slow sand filtration.  Assays and much practical experience since then have shown that some of our capillary mats, which do not rot, produce the same beneficial microflora as some clean slow sand filters, but in much greater numbers.  As a result, it has been very rare indeed to see any water-borne fungal disease in any crop grown on our mats.  (One form of mildew has occasionally been seen on some roses.)

Simple. Robust, Effective Plant Care. Start with clean bench. Fix black membrane. Insert a wick and check length below. Then fix the Florimat. Use FPL cover mat to finish.
