The GERMIX DM series continuous mixers are high-speed colloidal mixers. By means of shear forces and cavitation developing at the mixer paddles during multiple combing of the mix components, these mixers produce homogeneous, colloidally dispersed slurries. The mix components, a liquid and a solid, are continuously fed centrally from the top into the mixer vessel. Upon hitting the rotor situated on the bottom, they are centrifuged against the vessel wall where they are caught by the rapidly rotating mixer paddles. As a result of the centrifugal forces and the continuously following material, a material ring forms at the vessel wall and moves slowly upward toward the vessel outlet. While it is moving upward, it is continuously combed by the mixer paddles, which ensures optimal dispersion of the solid in the slurry.
