The Havatec Calla sorting and bunching machine is the new standard for processing Calla’s. This machine has his introduction in 2013 and is developed in modules. Building in modules is the new standard of Havatec, which gives the opportunity to configure a new machine for each growers situation. Every grower get his own concept which gives the necessary value for that particular situation. The modules of the  calla sorting and bunching machine are:

The FloraStar has a bunching capacity of 10,000 flowers. The machine is suitable for various flower sorts, among which Alstroemerias, Spray-carnation, Chrysanthemum and Hypericum. The flowers are graded by length, curve, weight and numbers of flower buds. X-ray techniques are used since bud’s and stems could be tucked away between leafs. The FloraStar is a co-development with a group of 9 Alstroemeria growers.

The last two years the TulipStar proven itself by processing millions of tulips at nine farms already. The initial concept where Havatec fundaments on is “HIGH-TEC SIMPLICITY”. This basic concept originates from 10 years of experience in developing advanced sorting machinery and equipment.

MagniFica is Havatec’s the newest grading and bunching machine and suitable for various flower sorts. The machine is based on a patented grip-input system that transports the flowers through an inspection module. The bunch is cut to length and bound after collection of the bouquet. The flowers are placed in the correct bunching system, where the bouquet is being composed based on the programmed grading parameters. The bunch is placed on a bunch collecting conveyor. The collecting conveyer consists of a fixed knife with 1 or two binders. The bunch station takes care of placement of the bunch at the correct length relative to the cutting knife. As soon as the bunch is cut off at correct length, it will be bound with elastic by 1 or 2 binders. The bunches will then further be transported to a bunch collection conveyor.

The Falcon bulb planter owes its name to the Falcon, an extremely fast and one of the most accurate bird species. Bulbs can be planted automatically with the Falcon. The Falcon is suitable for potting soil and/or water forcing cultivation. Bulbs are supplied from a turner. From there they are automatically guided to the Falcon(s). The bulbs are singulated in the machine and placed on a so-called cup. This cup is passed through a vision box with a sphere of 360 degrees. Based on the coordinations generated by the vision system, the sphere is positioned correctly, with the shoot pointing upwards. The now well placed bulb is picked up by the beak of the Falcon and placed in the bin.

The Havatec Twister is the first machine in the world that is able to make twisted flower bouquets automatically. The Twister creates bouquets of 10-35 stems and is available in various versions. The Twister consists of a number of turntables on which the different flowers lie. The turntables are filled manually according to the entered bouquet recipe. The software system indicates the correct compartments where the flowers should be placed. These turntables are connected to a conveyor that runs towards the carrousel. Then, the bouquet is created in the carrousel. When the bouquet is finished, it is transported out of the carrousel towards a panel belt with an integrated wrap binder. This latest innovation ensures a tightly bound bouquet. The number of wraps can be adjusted. The Twister is able to transform a wide variety of flowers into a bouquet.
