Bedford Pumps’ direct drive range of Fish Friendly pumps cover from 400 to 9,000 litres per second at 2m to 14m head. The Direct Drive Axial Flow pumps are typically installed in a vertical suspended position with below floor discharge. These pumps have the option of a bevel Power Take Off gear drive offering the ability to drive the pump by tractor in the event of a power failure.

Designed specifically for the fishing industry, Hidrostal’s unique hydraulic concepts assure efficient and damage-free fish transportation. Utilising the Hidrostal originated enclosed screw centrifugal impeller with large open passage, this completely immersible pump unloads fish from the net to your hold, damage-free.

Hidrostal’s range of Fish Friendly pumps are the product of over 50 years of Fish Friendly Pumping Heritage. Invented by Hidrostal’s founder Martin Stähle in 1958, the pumps were originally devised as a means of unloading trawlers in Peru without causing damage to the fish.
