Our Insulated Roof Farrowing Huts are available at 9’0” wide with an internal height of 3’6”.

Our Service Huts are 10’0” wide and with an internal height of 5’6” available in a range of lengths as listed below. As standard our Service Huts come with a 5’0”(W) x 4’1”(H) doorway with 5”step allowing room for mini Heston or round bales of straw ensuring efficient bedding down. The 5” step is designed to allow easy access for the pigs whilst limiting straw loss from the front of the hut. An optional 2” step reduces the occurrence of boars tripping and/or falling over when serving a Sow.

The frame is made with hot dipped galvanised skids and painted steel uprights, painted upper frame, joiners and brackets with galvanized purlins. It slots together and is easy to assemble. It can be taken down without undoing any bolts.

John Harvey Farrow Feeders allow for precise feeding (up to 15Kg of food) for Gilts and Sows in Farrowing paddocks. Maintaining all the benefits of our Long Troughs by providing longer term feed protection which allows the animal to return to the feeder many times without food being lost to birds.

To help regulate their body temperature in hot weather, pigs are often seen wallowing in large open troughs or pre-dug holes. John Harvey offers Slope Sided Wallow Troughs made from heavy duty, 2mm folded and sheet steel. The top edges are folded for safety as Sows climb in and out. The sloped sides have been designed for easy cleaning and discourage the pigs from undermining the troughs.

To ensure animal welfare standards are met and growth rates maintained all weights of pigs require constant access to fresh clean water. One option is a Straight-Sided Drinking Trough, available in a range of sizes as listed below.
