John Shearer are proud to present the new electric drive, mounted Airdrill, catering primarily to farmers with small to middle size holdings. The 6.0 metre sowing width is available with sowing spacing options of 125mm (5”), 150mm (6”) or 175mm (7”). A new electronic drive system replaces traditional chains and sprockets resulting in notably reduced maintenance needs. Calibrating seed and fertilizer rates is much easier than before with control via a tablet that allows operation from the tractor seat or next to the Airdrill. The Airdrill has a two-compartment hopper with a total capacity of 2,400 litres. The clever design makes filling fast and clean-out easy.

The new Pasture Renovation Drill from John Shearer is packed with design features to improve the productivity of your farm. Growing a better crop has never been easier! This drill is available in sowing widths from 2.03m (6‘ 7”) to 3.34m (10’11”) with seeding spacings of either 127mm (5”) or 152mm (6”). Spring release ‘580’ tyne assemblies, single discs and coil tynes are available from our proven range of ground engaging tools. Sowing distributors are powered by our innovative, new electric drive system as standard. Our classic variable speed gearbox is also available as an option.

Benefits of Double Disc Openers include more uniform seeding depth, reduction in draft forces, trash handling ability, reduced soil disturbance and faster sowing speeds. Sowing with Double Disc Openers leaves a smoother soil profile and will assist in reducing water run-off.

The Connor Shea 8000 series Pasture Drill is designed for direct drilling into pastures. This purpose built drill is designed to obtain the optimum results from the combination of coulter, baker boot and coil tyne. The frame provides the strength and the weight required for efficient operation of the coulters in providing a slot in which the Baker Boots can pass with minimal disturbance into existing pasture species.
