This potato planter is designed for row planting of unsprouted potato tubers in all soil types with row spacings of 70, 75, and 90 cm. It is coupled to 1.4-ton tractors (MTZ 80/82, MTZ 100/102). The potato planter can be loaded from any dump truck. The potato planter is equipped with a fertilizer spreader.

The potato planter consists of the following main components: a frame, support and drive wheels, elevator-type planting units, coulters, furrow closers, a loading hopper, and a gearbox for adjusting the planting density. The machine is simple and easy to maintain and adjust.
