From the field to the grain elevator and processor, we offer measurement solutions.  Kett’s roots are in the grain industry, starting with handheld rice and grain analyzers that were developed in the 1940’s. Numerous handheld, desktop and on-line analyzers are available for both specific grain products and generic testing. All systems include a three-year warranty.

Our PM450 instant, portable moisture meter is a standard worldwide.  The 450 is the latest version of our Grainer portable moisture testers.  Designed to provide immediate, accurate readings of many grains, this unit does not require adjusting or temperature correction. Fully electronic, with built-in microprocessors, the PM450  is the world’s simplest, handheld multi-grain tester.  The samples can range from 20-180 grams and are 240ml in volume.

The PQ5205 provides fast, continuous measurement of moisture, one kernel at a time.Based on capacitance, this measurement allows the user to accurately determine the moisture distribution of a large sample in minutes.  A 300 kernel set can be measured in only two minutes, allowing the processor to optimize quality and the mill or farm to optimize yield.  Wheat, barley (2) and rice (11) calibrations are included with the instrument.

This unique instrument standardizes rice grading. Individual rice kernels are scanned, visible photos digitized and then categorized by preset criteria. Factory calibrations for both brown rice and polished white rice are provided. Customers can modify selection characteristics if desired. The compact measurement station can be taken to supplier or customer locations so that tests can be easily replicated and supply channel quality specifications developed and maintained.

Accurate measurement is achieved without pre-processing the samples by husking and grinding that is often required in competitive devices.  This dramatically reduces the overall test cycle allowing you to focus on improving product quality and not on sampling and prep work.
