VECTRAN is a polyarylate superfiber with high strength, low moisture absorption, and superior abrasion resistance, and is used to make rope, fishing nets, sheathing, and many other products. Because the raw fiber can be dyed, it is used in sporting goods. VECTRAN was also used in the dirigible launched by Japan`s Stratospheric Platform Concept program.
