AquaGrid is a grating product useful for many aquaculture applications.  The standard black floating product is pictured here.  It was originally designed as a walking surface for trickling filters.  It should be fully supported when used as an overlay to protect another surface or provide a safer walking surface in slippery areas.

Trickling filters and CO2 strippers are common devices in recirculating aquaculture systems. They are often referred to as packed towers. The performance of these towers is controlled by: The type of packing or media. The amount of packing. The shape of the vessel. The ratio of air to water. The temperature. The distribution of air through the tower. The distribution of water through the tower.

The beginning aquaculturist needs a simple, effective and inexpensive biofilter that will allow them to build a recirculating system without breaking the bank. Trickling filters fill that role perfectly. Trickling filters are one of the oldest types of biological filters. They are still the most common type of biological filter for several reasons. They are reliable, simple, effective, rugged and inexpensive when built properly.
