Daylighting Fabric - Optically Clear Light Redirecting Material
Lucent Optics' Daylighting Fabric® represents a breakthrough in light-redirecting technologies, utilizing an optically clear and flexible plastic film to achieve high efficiency in directing light without the need for surface microprisms. This innovative material allows for smooth customization, supports high bend angles exceeding 90 degrees, and operates effectively across a broad spectral range without causing a rainbow effect. It achieves optimal light redirection by aligning the film surface with light sources, achieving peak efficiency at angles above 45 degrees. The material is highly flexible with a soft touch, yet it demonstrates robustness against chemical exposure and extreme temperatures. Designed primarily for daylight applications, it enhances light capture and distribution while rejecting unwanted light propagation. It can also be adapted for artificial lighting scenarios, making it versatile for use in window glazing, skylights, greenhouses, lighting diffusers, and illuminated displays with available thicknesses from 20 to 40 mil and standard or custom sizes.

The PANAGLO™ is a state-of-the-art window panel designed for daylight harvesting and glare control, specifically engineered to manage direct sunlight exposure. It efficiently redirects sunlight to the ceiling, minimizing the dependency on artificial lighting while simultaneously eliminating thermal hotspots commonly generated by solar beams. Lightweight at under 2kg/m² (approximately 0.4lbs/ft²) and offering high impact resistance, the PANAGLO™ is adaptable for both residential and commercial buildings. Notably, it incorporates an innovative design that facilitates easy installation, either by snapping onto windows or through permanent fixture on frames. This panel's functionality extends to providing 99.9% UV protection and enhancing privacy with its translucent, etched-glass appearance. Moreover, PANAGLO™ effectively bolsters a building’s thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Available in both standard and custom dimensions, it fits a wide range of applications with sizes up to 96 inches wide and 48 inches high.
