The MAT Recirculating aquaculture skid filtration system is a complete filtration unit designed for simple Recirculating Aquaculture operation, with the smallest footprint and minimum energy consumption. The Units are equipped to provide complete mechanical, biological, chemical and disinfection water treatment. RAS Skid Units integrate automated operation decreasing the operational cost and human error probability of the facility.

MAT designs and manufactures the Ozone Generators to provide stable ozone infusion in high humidity environments. Our ozone generators are sensitive electrical equipment fabricated specifically for aquaculture facilities.

Pressurized AFM are rapid, and pressurized multi layer filters which are filled in with Activated Filter Media (AFM) by Dryden Aqua instead of sand to double the process performance. The AFM media offers 300 times more surface area than the sand media, is electrostatically charged to absorb organic substances and small particles and finally the metal oxide catalysts located on its surface make the AFM self sterilizing, as well. The developed filtration speed varies between 20-25m/h at a pressure rate of 2.5 bar. The specific filter configuration offers extra resistance to bio-fouling, to bio-coagulation and does not permit any unfiltered water to escape due to transient wormhole water channeling

MBBR are biological filters, fabricated to provide biological filtration and maximize oxygen concentration while enabling organic load degradation. MBBR biotowers, are made of PP, resistant to osmosis and ozone gas. MBBR range covers the treatment needs for Biomass load from 10 up to 850kg per bio-tower, utilizing low water volume and small footprint. The non-treated water swell is continuously mixed with air/oxygen in the biotower, while the organic load is degraded biologically by microorganisms. This bio-film layer is formed on and in suspended polyethylene floating media.

UV disinfection system is a sterilizing device for biologically charged water treatment, where the Ultra Violet radiation targets directly to microorganisms genetic material (DNA & RNA) destruction. The comparative advantage of the UV disinfection system over various chemical disinfection methods, is the unaffected physical and chemical composition of water after the UV radiation activity. The UV is effective against any type of microorganism such as algae, bacteria, virus, fungi, yeasts and ozone gas. UV devices are core filters to biologically charged water volume and it is commonly used to fresh and marine RAS farms and hatcheries.

The Ozone Destruct unit (OD) is an apparatus containing either activated carbon media or flame chamber, used to absorb excess ozone from the ambient air. It is an essential safety measure against residual ozone concentration after water treatment process. OD will safely and rapidly destroy any exceeded ozone gas quantity.

MAT Trickle Filters are fixed-bed, aerated, biotower filters designed to convert the toxic, nitrogen waste found in fish farming water to non-toxic byproducts. Trickle filter biotowers are filled with PE bioballs providing a surface area for micro-organisms to develop. This biological activity results to a gaseous exchange process restoring the levels of CO2 and O2 to viable levels. Trickle filters biotower model range covers TAN removal rate from 10 gr TAN/day up to 1800 gr TAN/day and from 10kg up to 2600kg, of Max Biomass at 4% feeding ratio, per bio-tower. Our Trickle Filters, combined with other RAS equipment is the traditional solution for TAN removal in fresh and saline water facilities. MAT Trickle Filters are applicable to any biologically charged water volume and it is commonly used to fresh and marine RAS farms and hatcheries.

It is now proved that, larvae and fries are very sensitive to slight difference in water quality.
