Mulching film made of MATER-BI is the leading choice of biodegradable and compostable film among farmers and provides optimal processing and agronomic performance, together with excellent environmental biodegradability. Our materials for mulching are designed to be biodegradable in the soil. MATER-BI film has similar mechanical properties and usage characteristics to those of traditional plastic films, as proven by over 10 years of res arch and development and commercial use in the field.

MATER-BI has shown to be an alternative and sustainable material to be used for pheromone dispensers. Isagro Italia has introduced on the market the new pheromone dispenser Ecodian, made of MATER-BI biodegradable and compostable materials. Ecodian dispensers are used in IPM and allow a signifi cant reduction of insecticide application; it does not require to be removed and disposed at the end of the season (as for all the plastic materials) and can be left in the soil, since the dispenser does not retain any pheromone. Ecodian can be used against the main fruit moths, such as Cydia molesta, Anarsia lineatella, Cydia funebrana and Cydia pomonella

Mater-bi  fully biodegradable and compostable clips ensure the same performance in use as traditional plastic clips. After the harvest of the crops such as pepper, tomato or cucumber in the greenhouse they will fully biodegrade and compost together with the plant waste.
