Manure from pigs, chickens and cattle is known for producing odour. This is caused by ammonia released from the manure. These farm animals are given concentrates to grow quickly or to produce a lot of milk and this contains a lot of proteins, which causes ammonia in the manure. Ammonia gas has a major effect on animal welfare. If the animals inhale too much of this, this has an effect on animal health. They grow less quickly and they are susceptible to respiratory and eye infections. Ultimately, this can lead to animal death. MicroAktiv-BS ensures less ammonia emission from the manure in the house and this way these problems can be prevented. Ultimately, reducing ammonia emissions from the manure will help solve the nitrogen problem.

MicroAktiv^®-ZECAMAG is a natural mineral feed additive based on zeolites for cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry. MicroAktiv^®-ZECAMAG is a special formula of clinoptilolite to which calcium and magnesium carbonates from natural mineral sources have been added.
