Our plants are supplied to a wide range of customers - including the home gardener, landscapers and landscape designers, councils, Department of Conversation and revegetation projects. Many landscapes and gardens are the proud owners of Native Garden Nursery plants and our efficient online ordering service sees our plants being used from Northland to Southland!

Our Nursery

Native Garden Nursery is situated in Makaraka, just outside Gisborne City, next to the Showgrounds and Golfmania. The nursery occupies 1.2ha of land. All of our plants are containerised and grown either in an outside hardening-off area or shade house, all starting their lives in propagation houses.

Our sales area is open to the public 6 days a week. You will find it well laid out and informative, with master labels providing information and pricing for every plant. An experienced team member is always available to assist and you are welcome to spend time viewing plants and gathering information at your leisure.

Our popular online ordering service is now bigger and better than ever. Our website provides you with access to our entire catalogue of competitively priced plants, delivered directly to your door. With more variety than is usually offered locally and the opportunity to buy interesting hybrids or large quantities, online ordering is a simple and stress free way to purchase plants.

Re-vegetation

Native Garden Nursery works with Project Crimson, the Department of Conservation, Councils and private landowners to provide plants for re-vegetation projects. We are excited to be a part of these projects and it is a real thrill to see the natural landscape restored over a period of time.
