O2Compost specializes in designing small, medium, and large‐scale compost systems to process a wide array of organic wastes, including food scrap waste, landscaping debris, animal manure, biosolids and other source separated organics. We utilize the Aerated Static Pile (ASP) method of composting for all of our projects and implement fully tested technologies that are simple to operate, reliable and cost effective. 

Starting in 2001, O2Compost developed a range of horse manure composting systems that are simple to operate and will convert your "waste problem" into a "resource opportunity". Our systems work extremely well for all scales of operation, from large stables with hundreds of animals to backyard barns with as few as one or two horses.

The alpaca is a ruminent with three stomachs. It converts grass and hay to energy very quickly, eating far less (as a percentage of its body weight) than other farm animals. Alpaca manure is lower in organic matter content than the manure from most other barnyard livestock (cows, horses, goats and sheep) but still has enough to improve soil texture and water-holding capacity. This lower organic content allows alpaca manure to be spread directly onto plants without burning them. It is the decomposition of organic matter content of the manure that indicates their efficient digestion system.

Over the past 10 years, O2Compost has worked with dairy operations of all sizes to create composting solutions that are simple to operate. In all cases, we utilize the Aerated Static Pile (ASP) method of composting as a way to optimize the composting process and mitigate problems associated with offensive odors, flies and impacts to water quality.
