Glass Coated Steel
Glassy material produced by complete melting of predominantly oxide materials can be referred to as vitreous enamel. The inorganic preparation produced in this way is applied with additives in one or more layers to steel plates and melted at temperatures of about 850°C. Enamel frits are the basic materials for enameling - they are a mixture of a wide variety of raw materials, such as quartz, borax, soda, potash,... With different color frits for the enameling processes, our customers can individualize and customize their tanks and silos depending on local conditions, personal preferences or third-party color specifications. For EMAILED TANKS AND SILOS, steel plates of 2.5 - 12 mm are usually used, each depending on the static calculations and requirements on site. Within the production process, the steel plates are cut by laser to a standard dimension adapted to the production, punched and then rounded to the specified diameter of the tanks / silos.
