Horticultural vermiculite is permanent, clean, odorless, non-toxic, sterile and pH neutral. It will not deteriorate, turn moldy or rot. It is typically mixed with soil, peat, composted pine bark, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides and promotes faster root growth and quick anchorage to young roots.

Horticultural perlite is clean, sterile, pH neutral, non-flammable, odorless, nontoxic and neither decays nor shrinks – even pests such as insects and fungi can’t destroy it. When bulk perlite is mixed with organic compost, natural soils or composted bark, it helps anchor the roots of young plants so they grow stronger.

Soilless mix is ideal for bedding and potted plant production. Because it does not contain soil, which is more prone to carrying harmful bacteria and fungi, soilless mix provides a more sterile environment for your growing plants. However, without soil, the fertility levels may be lower. To compensate, we add pulverized limestone, nutrients, trace elements, and a wetting agent to our soilless mix.

Our seed germination soilless mix is formulated to provide the ideal environment to anchor the roots of young plants so they grow stronger. Because it does not contain soil, which is more prone to carrying harmful bacteria and fungi, our seed germination soilless mix provides a more sterile environment for your seeds. However, without soil, the fertility levels may be lower. To compensate, we add pulverized limestone, trace elements, and a wetting agent to our seed germination soilless mix.

The PVP Perlite Grow Bag is ideally suited for new plants, rooting cuttings and hydroponic gardening. Plants are grown right in the Perlite grow bag which usually holds 3 to 4 plants and allows roots to grow through the Perlite growing medium. Because there is no soil mixed in with the Perlite growing medium, a drip irrigation system should be set up for use.
