The Ultraspan may be twinskin or singleskin clad with Duratough or Durashelter long life greenhouse film with a service life of ten years +.  The cosecant rafter "A" frame design is a unique Redpath feature and it allows superior light transmission through to the crop via its reduced overhead structural shading.

The conditions in which cattle are housed influence their comfort and welfare. The main purpose of a Feedlot is to provide a comfortable, natural light environment allowing cows to convert feed efficiently, be content and loaf whilst converting feed. A Redpath Feedlot Shelter improves production efficiency by reducing the maintenance energy requirement of the cattle. This is the energy required to maintain functions critical for life. This is important as 30–40% of the feed consumed daily by cattle is directed to maintenance (Caton et al., 2000). A well-managed Redpath Feedlot Shelter will help control the environmental factors that create adverse pen conditions such as, Heat, Cold & Mud. All these factors lead to conditions that increase maintenance requirement by 10–15% due to greater physical exertion.

Redpath steel framed buildings with flexible shaded Durashade, Reinforced Canvacon claddings have been used at a number of farms throughout Australia. These structures will often offer a cost effective shelter solution to the poultry sector and when twinskin cladding is chosen the building will be energy efficient compared to single layer or hard tin shed options. Redpath’s Stand Off shelters are built both big and small!, we have buildings that provide shelter for calf rearer’s that produce more than 2000 calves per annum and others that just rear a dozen or so.  The types of buildings will vary dependent on the size of the operation however typically the shelter is one of Redpath’s 10.65m  or 9.6m designs.  These may be supplied with a ‘roof only’ type covering or have the side and end walls closed in with simple shade textile.  Another popular option is to fit ‘roll up wall blinds’ along the sidewalls (or to one wall) of the shelter which gives improved control in poor weather.

The 4.2m or 6.4m Nursery series design is a budget greenhouse that is both cost-effective and speedy to build. The Nursery Series model is popular for small to medium growers. The 4.26m design is supplied with either straight sidewalls or may be a fully curved tunnel to the ground. Hortiplus® 180 single skin cladding is used as standard or this can be upgraded to the tough 210-micron Duratough® cladding. Ventilation can be included as an extra with either manually operated or automatic roll-up sidewalls. Forced airflow fan systems are also another option. Insect screens may be fitted to all ventilator openings for pest exclusion if required. The Nursery Series greenhouses are a basic design that has not been engineered.
