In the plaster and mortar industry, where precision and timing are essential, retardants have a crucial role. By nature, without the addition of retardants, plaster would set quickly, between 5 and 15 minutes, making it impossible for the operator to apply and smooth it correctly on the wall. Thanks to the use of powder retardants produced by SICIT, the setting time of the plaster is extended considerably, ranging from 60 to 180 minutes. This extension of workable time not only facilitates application and finishing, but also guarantees a higher quality surface with a smoother finish and greater resistance once applied to the wall.
