Oil Milling is a process of pressing the Oil Seeds for extracting crude oil, such as mustard seed, sesame, sunflower, Groundnut, Castor, lin seed. The oil Mill process involves seed cleaning, de stoning, de hulling, cracking, Cooking and Conditioning, followed by expelling for enabling efficient Oil Extraction resulting in best quality crude oil.

After flaking & Cooking of the oil seed, the oil seeds are mechanically pressed using a screw press/ Expeller. The pressed oil contains some fines, which need to be further filtered using vibro separator and filter press to enable the output oil to be clean & purified. Solvent extraction is a counter-current extraction process for extracting crude edible oil from oilseeds and oil cake using solvent, with Hexane. Hexane-based processes is popular for maximizing oil yield in excess of 95% with a solvent recovery of over 95% which in compare to 60 to 70% oil yield by mechanical expeller pressing.
