Soil Probe
Teralytic - Single Soil Probe
The Teralytic NPK soil probe generates real-time data collection and analysis of all soil types, anywhere in the field. Using 26 sensors to provide the most detailed soil quality data available, it reports on soil moisture, salinity, and NPK at three different depths, as well as aeration, respiration, air temperature, light, and humidity. The probe communicates with the cloud via LoRa wireless technology, and user data can be accessed on Teralytic’s dashboard or another platform via our open API. Data and analytics are continually updated, so growers get a real-time look into the plant-available nutrients in their fields’ soils. The probe consists simply of a head and stake. It’s easy-to-install and intended to remain in the fields all season long. Three sensor cartridges are located at 6 in. (15 cm.), 18 in. (45 cm.), and 36 in. (91 cm.), so growers get a stratified, real-time view of soils.
Others
LoRaWAN - Gateway (Includes Sim and Cellular Data Plan)
LoRa Technology, developed by Semtech Corporation, is a long-range, low-power wireless platform fueling Internet of Things (IoT) networks worldwide. LoRa technology has more than 50 million devices connected to networks in 95 countries, powering smart homes and buildings, supply chains, logistics, metering, and (of course) agriculture. The LoRa-based Gateway provided by Teralytic deploys this network on the farm, allowing Teralytic’s probes within range to transmit soil data every 15 minutes. Users mount the gateway—ideally 30 feet high at a central location on the farm and with a clear line-of-sight—and connect to a power source prior to installing Teralytic Soil Probes. The higher the gateway is placed, the further the network will reach.
Teralytic - Installation Kit
To ensure proper soil-to-sensor contact, we custom-made an install kit for Teralytic soil probe users. This includes a Dutch-style auger, designed by AMS and made in America, an auger stabilization plate, and stakes to ground the plate. Once you`ve determined your probe placement, installing each probe will take just a few steps, outlined in the Teralytic Installation Manual. To watch an install tutorial, click here. And if you run into any issues along the way, our customer service team will guide you to help make the process as easy as possible.
