We believe technology only matters if it delivers in the field, so we spend time alongside farmers to design practical services before scaling them into reliable programs.

Our flagship service is BioDrop®, a drone-based biological control program that releases beneficial insects and mites to fight agricultural pests. This integrated pest management (IPM) approach gives growers an effective alternative to pesticides by improving coverage, saving labor, and enabling timely releases at scale. The service earned UAV-IQ the California Department of Pesticide Regulation’s IPM Innovation Award for advancing practical, large-scale biological control. BioDrop has also been supported through competitive grant funding and developed in collaboration with preeminent industry leaders during field trials across California.

UAV-IQ began as one of the first companies authorized by the FAA to conduct commercial drone operations in California agriculture. Building on that foundation, the company has grown into a leader in applying unmanned aviation to agriculture, focusing today on biological control and sustainable pest management.

Andreas Neuman, Founder and CEO, is a former U.S. Air Force officer and instructor pilot who led pioneering unmanned aviation programs before launching UAV-IQ during his UCLA MBA. Drawing on this background, he has guided UAV-IQ through complex regulations and thousands of hours in the field with growers to ensure services deliver real value.
