One of the highest quality Valoya LED grow lights is the BL-series light bar that is tailored for the greenhouse illumination. The advantages of this compact, high-intensity light bar are numerous – multiple luminaries can be used together by simply using a single mains input, which will subsequently eliminate the excessive cables. Apart from this, this high-intensity light bar is technically simplified in terms of installation and further handling with its LED driver built inside the luminaire. The high IP rating (IP66) means it is completely dust tight and is not affected if sprayed by water.

Designed as a replacement for HID lighting, the RX-series is a high power, dimmable LED luminaire with a high IP rating. The robust all aluminium build, passive cooling and tempered glass cover ensure a long lifetime in the most demanding of environments. The luminaire can be placed up to 4 m (13′) above the canopy. Typical lifetime is 50 000 hours for the light output to drop to 70% of nominal.

The terms ‘wide’, ‘full’ or ‘continuous’ spectrum refer to combining LED chips to produce all possible colors from the spectrum – just like the sunlight. The amount of each color in our spectra is fine tuned to the specific needs of different plants and their growth phases. Unlike most manufacturers, we do not simply use red, blue and white LED chips – creating a light spectrum out of only these passes the minimal threshold of what the plant needs and hardly qualifies the spectrum to be called ‘wide’. Red and white LED chips have originally been developed for applications different than horticulture, such as interior lighting, LED indicators in electronic equipment etc. These chips can be bought ‘off the shelf’ and the light produced by them satisfies basic needs of the plants, but does not represent a sunlight match.
