Healthy Cows Need Fresh Air Right Where They Live. Healthy cows need fresh, cool air. VES designs ventilation systems around the needs of the cow, not the building. Our direct drive fans pull fresh air into the structure, directs the air in waves to cow level, and then removes the dirty, heated air. Fresh air keeps your cows’ body temperatures down, keeps bedding dry, helps prevent diseases from pneumonia to mastitis, and deters pests without chemicals. You’ll get more milk, more consistent reproduction, and lower health costs.

Summer Light All Year, for Less Energy. Milk production drops in the winter when the days get shorter. This is especially true at higher latitudes, where production can plummet by 5% or more. VES Long Day Lighting system maintains summer light all year long with industrial lighting, so your cows don’t suffer the seasonal blues. By strategically placing the lamps with light sensors, they can automatically adjust based on the natural light.

Protecting your calves is easy with the pen-to-pen isolation offered by Artex Calf Zone Pens. More suited for temperate and colder climates, our pens protect calves from drafts and coming into contact with animals in adjoining pens. Whether you are mounting to a structural wall or in stand-alone rows, Artex Calf Pens are fully customizable with a variety of wall length’s, back wall options, and bucket and bottle options.

In warmer climates, you need enhanced ventilation and airflow to keep calves cool. The Artex raised calf zone pen was built for flush systems and feature slatted floors that allow the flush system to clean under pens. Raised Artex Calf Pens have been designed specifically for hot and tropical climates where enhanced ventilation is needed. The raised modular slatted floor allows for manure flush systems and better airflow. With the same commitment to easy cleaning, slatted floors and PVC walls are easily installed and removed for intensive cleaning and disinfecting.

The Artex CSL self lock system is a fundamental part of the Comfort Zone™ system. Designed with larger herds and more mature animals, it provides cows with the ultimate in cow comfort. Featuring an exceptionally wide top opening and a curved rail that helps to minimize contact with a cow’s head. Our CSL self locks maximize labour and management efficiency by providing an easy way to lock individuals and large groups. This makes physical examinations, vaccinations, inseminations, pregnancy checks, and treatments that much easier and faster.

The Standard Aqua Dump Series is available in lengths from 60cm (2`) to 457cm (15`) and are available in stainless steel or hot dip galvanized options.

This new take on our popular Standard Aqua Dump focuses on providing environmentally friendly troughs that require less water, making them more economical to dump and clean. As clean water is a critical component of milk production, the Shallow Aqua Dump has been designed to make cleaning easier and faster than ever before.

Our most powerful circulation fan, the Artex Storm has adjustable louvers that allow you to direct air over and under cows. One 72” storm fan has the capability to replace 4 single speed panel fans or 8 – 36” basket fans. Artex Storm fans create the extreme velocity needed to cool cows, control insects, and dry bedding. They ensure the comfort of both animals and employees by improving and maintaining consistent air quality throughout your facility. Our cyclone fan design features adjustable louvers that allow you to direct airflow. This gives you the ability to push air back down onto cow level increasing fan effectiveness and reducing dead air. We’ve expanded our Storm fan product line, now offering 55”, 72”, and 84” options. With our new fan series and installation options, we’ve given you the option to further customize your ventilation strategy.

Artex adjustable gates are durable and flexible enough to suit any application. Easy to install and adjust, there is no cutting or clamping needed to fit our gates to your barn.  We offer a variety of options from 3, 4, and 5 bar gates with or without man pass, to hinge, latch and support wheel options. Our goal has been to provide a customized gate solution that is more affordable than the cost of having a custom gate built. Even though our gates are adjustable and flexible enough to fit any space in your facility, they are strong and durable enough to stand up to tough applications. Built out of a heavier gauge steel, with an adjustable insert that over-laps 2ft/0.61m on the inside, our gates are designed for sturdy, long-lasting use.
