Seeding Generator for LDA and PIV High Volume Liquid Droplet Seeding Generator Introduction This seeding generator produces droplets ideal for PIV and LDA measurements. It is the preferred solution for medium to large size facilities. In the 10F03 Seeding Generator, fluids are reduced to fine droplets and subsequently delivered in an airborne form as a spray. Its two atomizers enable the Seeding Generator to produce large volumes of liquid spray. A compressed-air bypass and the dual 1” outlets are fitted to enable the full volume of spray to be transported out of the vessel. The precision control mechanism of the reducing regulator allows the production of even the smallest doses of spray. Description The basic principle of the 10F03 Seeding Generator is as follows: Atomizing occurs under the principle of the open-jet pump. The higher velocity of the compressed air passing across the mouth of the compressed-air capillary tube causes the static pressure to fall in accordance with Bernoulli’s equation. The resulting vacuum draws the fluid out of the supply vessel and through the capillary tube. At the mouth of the capillary tube the high velocity of air disperses the fluid into small droplets.
