A development based on the popular ABAB Felling head 251 and 350 series. Our unique electrical control system makes the felling head very fast and easy to maneuver. Grapple move-ments, cutting and accumulating is automated and handled with one single button. The newly developed hydraulic valve with higher fl ow and bigger valves, makes the equipment very fast – cutting speed 0,6 seconds – with maintained precision.The crane tilt function makes steering of ABAB Biohar-vester 255 very easy and effective, without any swinging or bowing movements. You can easily single out stems to cut without the risk of damaging trees nearby.New ABAB Bioharvester 255 has high performance at low main-tenance. Few moving parts, one type of cylinder used for several different functions and with a cutting knife that requires no mainte-nance. No saw chains or links that snap when several trees are cut in the same moment, or when you work in a stony terrain. Hydraulic valve is easy to access, through a removable cover placed at the back of the felling head. Benefi ts with ABAB Bioharvester 255 are:• Aggressive feed rolls partly removes bark on the trees. This makes the drying of the material much faster, resulting in a higher energy content.• When feeding the material, branches break along the trees.
