It includes: MOUNTAINPRESS 550, MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPL, MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPC and MOUNTAINPRESS 550 CNG.The MOUNTAINPRESS small round-balers produce a 20/25 kg bale of hay on average every 40 seconds. The total output per hour is approximately 1,500 kg hay. The stationary pressure chamber is made up of aluminium rollers which form “soft-core” hay bales. The less pressed core allows hay to have a proper transpiration and prevent it from going mouldy. On its outer part the bale is heavily pressed in order to create a water-repel-lent, protective layer. Hay is pressed without mowing or thrashing to maintain its quality by keeping the seeds and flowers inside the bales. All of the MOUNTAINPRESS round-balers bind the bales through a UV-resistant net. Thanks to their handiness, reduced height and low centre of gravity, the MOUNTAINPRESS round-balers are ideal also for working in hilly and mountainous areas. Their small size make them suitable even for ground care works.GENERAL FEATURESMOUNTAINPRESS 550 is a one of a kind machine. By means of a quick coupling flange it can be linked to mowers and motocultivators of all makes and models. MOUNTAINPRESS 550 is fastened to the frontal part of the power unit so that its weight acts on the rear driving wheels for a better adherence to the ground also when the baler works uphill.GENERAL FEATURESMOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPL is trailed laterally by the tractorand was designed for operators who need a small-size round-baler suitable to work also in areas which are not accessible with traditional machines. Thanks to its specially designed draw bar, the MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPL can be trailed laterally with the advantage, especially for small tractors with a low centre of gravity, not to pass on the hay row.All the baler controls are actuated from the driver’s seat. An acoustic signal warns the operator that the bale has been formed. The pressure chamber opens and closes via the hydraulic control located on the tractor.MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPLRound-baler laterally trailed by small tractors with low centre of gravity.MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPCRound-baler with central linkage, carried or trailed by small tractors with low centre of gravity.MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPLMOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPCTECHNICAL DATABale dimensions 55 x 52 cmWeight of the hay bale 20 ÷ 25 kgWeight of the straw bale 14 ÷ 18 kgWeight of the ensilage bale 35 ÷ 50 kgNumber of bales per hour 50 ÷ 80Pick-up width 700 ÷ 1,050 mmPick-up teeth per row 16/2Net binding standardBale counter standardAcoustic bale formation signal standardHydraulic bale ejector standardAutomatic chain tensioning standardChain protection clutch standardHeight and length adjustable draw bar standard (only for MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPL)Baler depth with extended draw bar 1,950 ÷ 2,250 mm (only for MOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPL)Baler width with max axle track extension 1,225 ÷ 1,750 mmHeight adjustable in 4 positions 930 ÷ 1,030 mmBaler total weight 295 kgTyres 18x8.50-8 Minimum power required 12 kWElectric control-box for binding and lifting the hydraulic pick-upOPTIONALS Cardan shaft type P/2 Gathering wheels Automatic chain lubricationGENERAL FEATURESMOUNTAINPRESS 550 TPC is a small round-baler centrally carried through the tractor three-point linkage. This provides a very low centre of gravity that results in an overall stability of the baler. The MOUNTAINPRESS 550 CNG baling process is based on the same principle of the other MOUNTAINPRESS small round-balers. The bale thus weighs about 20 to 25 kg and is formed in about 40 seconds. The total output per hour is consequently about 1,500 kg hay. The bales are of the soft-core type and hay is neither cut nor thrashed.
