These nutrients are made available to the plant roots in a slow release form. EcoGro® compost has a healthy population of naturally occurring microorganisms. These organisms improve soil structure, creating passageways in the soil for the movement of air, water, and nutrients. EcoGro® contains significant quantities of organic matter necessary for water retention and provides food for the soil organisms, which in turn “feed the plants.” It helps return many properties to the soil which have been lost over time and with use.
