Thismeans we have natural lighting without using electricity.Photovoltaic panels fitted on the roof produce clean andrenewable energy.In the production area of the plant, with radiant underfloorheating, constant and comfortable environmental conditionsand light are guaranteed by automatic management of thetemperature, humidity and light. The Frandent automaticpainting plant is another example of advanced technologythat respects the environment: in fact, it uses water-basedcatalysed paints rather than the usual solvent-based coatings.Most of the energy used by Frandent is produced and managedby a biomass boiler, a true example of environmental sustai-nability. The fuel is wood chips, which guarantees environmentalproduction, since the carbon dioxide produced by its consumptionbalances the carbon dioxide contained in the living plant.Farmers live and work immersed in nature, they love andrespect it, and obtain the fruits of their labour from it. But canthose who build farm machinery combine business withenvironmental protection? The answer is yes. Frandent is deeplycommitted to combining technological innovation with the useof clean and renewable energy, which respects the environment,the one resource we can never do without. Frandentoperates a Lean Production System, based on the elimination ofwasted resources and energy, which translates into higher overallquality in the finished product, and lower costs: the advantagesfor users of Frandent machines are evident, both in economicterms and in the daily use of the machines, reliable and longlasting. The special layout of the new plant allows the productionprocess to follow a linear route, drastically reducing wasted andnon-productive movements. Robotised welding islands createprecise and high quality welds without subsequent manualintervention. An automatic vertically stacking warehouse, withrobotised management, reduced materials procurement timesand wastage. From this experience, Frandent was born inJune 1977, with headquarters in Osasco. The name of thecompany is the combination of the two main components ofthe harrow in Italian: franditori (sod-breakers) and denti (tines)., a lucky name for a company that is now thirtyyears old.2 0 0 2Thirty years of intense and committed work, agriculturalmachines that are appreciated throughout Europe, internationalpatents, a new model plant where technology and innovationaim to both design and build machines that make the farmer'swork easier, and the work of skilled craftsmen and techniciansmore comfortable and productive.
