LaFIS Software- Brochure

LaFIS® is part of the LaFIS® product family of GIS software, and is used to manage the geographic data for agricultural subsidy applications. The software is specifi cally dedicated to authorities and covers all the tasks necessary for clarifying, checking and ruling on farmers‘ declarations with regard to the system for agricultural subsidy management. Data about individual farms are analysed by utilsing the land parcel reference system, farmers’ sketches, remote sensing images (satellite and aerial photos) and other additional data layers. Since the software links the application data to agricultural parcel boundary information, any farm can be checked for its exact extent, current cultivation type, landscape elements and environmental measures implemented.Summary of main features:• Complies with the current EC-regulations concerning the obligation for area-wide usage of GIS-technology in the member states• Tailored for workfl ows relating to clarifi cation, checking and ruling on farmers’ declarations• Compatible with all other LaFIS® products, such as LaFIS-LFK® and LaFIS®-VOK• Full GIS functionality• Integration with various alphanumeric IACS (Integrated Administration and Control System) with a two-way data exchange• Offl ine mode, supporting check-out and check-in processesSystem requirements: • Windows XP¦¦¦ Visualisation of farmers‘ declarations:Farmers’ declarations are visualised using aerial photographs,reference parcels and other additional data layers. This allowsthe carrying out of visual checks of fi eld boundaries, parcel sizes and environmental measures implemented.¦¦¦ Clarifi cation of inconsistencies:Inconsistencies in farmer declarations, such as over-declarationof reference parcel sizes or duplicate declarations can be clarifi ed or selected for on-the-spot controls.¦¦¦ Preparation of farm data for on-the-spot controls:Selection and export of farms for on-the-spot controls including application data, agricultural parcel information, aerial photos and other vector data for the mobile use of LaFIS®. ¦¦¦ Import of GPS measurements:On-the-spot GPS measurements can then be imported and post-processed to correct any measurement errors. The results can be classifi ed and reports can be prepared.
