1970

The Storchi family founds CO.ME.R. - Costruzioni Meccaniche Riduttori - specialized in the manufacture of mechanical transmissions for agricultural machinery.

1985

Four foreign subsidiaries are set up to market products in France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States.

1985 - 1990

Comer grows both organically and through acquisitions, thanks to which the strategic diversification of the product range is implemented. The industrial line is introduced. Custom-designed solutions for the major customers are offered alongside standard products.

1996

Opening of the Mechatronics Research Center, a state-of-the-art laboratory dedicated to the company`s R&D activities. First mechatronic systems.

1998

Opening of the representative office in Beijing for the industrial partership with local suppliers: the first step of the company`s development in China.

1999

Creation of Comer Group: the brand identifies all the Group companies and Operating Units.

2002

Comer Group becomes Comer Industries, changing from a group of companies into a single large enterprise, global leader in the design and production of advanced engineering systems and mechatronic solutions.

2007

The Comer Industries Components Operating Unit is officially inaugurated in Matera. Comer (Shanghai) Trading Co. Ltd., the new sales Subsidiary and the Operating Unit Comer Industries (Shaoxing) Co. Ltd are also opened in China.

2008

Establishment of Comer Academy, the new internal training and management school focused on organizational and cultural change in the company.

2009

Implementation of the Comer Production System (CPS), the new organizational philosophy based on the Kaizen method for continuous product and service improvement. Gold Medal at SIMA show in Paris with a cutting-edge E-GPF irrigation system integrating mechanical drive, wireless irrigator control and GPS positioning. Consolidation of Comer (Shanghai) Trading subsidiary within Comer Industries (Shaoxing). Spin-off of the Fluid Power Division, purchased by the French Group Poclain Hydraulics.

2010

40 ° anniversary of Comer Industries. Technical Innovation Award at Eima International for AJC (Active Jump Control) mechatronic system. Recognition of excellence as "Impresa Campione dell`Innovazione" (Champion of Innovation Enterprise) at the Confindustria Award for Excellence 2010 for the development and exploitation of innovation. Special mention at the "Premio Imprese x l`Innovazione 2010" (Enterprise Award for Innovation 2010). Comer Industries participation at Shanghai Expo 2010 in the "Italy of Innovators" event, dedicated to Italian products with a high technological content, with its "Mechatronic hose-reel irrigation system E-GPF".

2011

Extension of Comer Industries Components in Matera: now it has a total area of 19,000 sqm and employs over 200 associates. Merger of Planetary Drives and Axles & Wheel Drive Units in a new industrial company based in Cavriago, which employs 270 people. New premises for Comer Industries Sarl, the French branch, in Serris, near Disneyland Paris.

2012

2013

ICT Emilia Romagna Innovation Award for “Customer Claim” project to better manage customer claims.

“Sustainability Supplier” Award by CNH Industrial for the pursuit of excellence, corporate sustainability and territorial development.
AGCO Award for Collaboration (Innovation) that recognizes Comer Industries as top supplier.
Mention at SIMA Innovation Awards for the CENTRIPLUS solution that enhances the efficiency of wet disk brakes on differential axles for self-propelled agricultural machines.

2015

3 stars recognition in the EFQM assessment: the EFQM Excellence model promotes an integrated, sustainable vision among the various company areas to achieve greater performance for all stakeholders.

Innovation award from the German Group, CLAAS, world leader in the production of machines and equipment for agriculture. The award was given on the 12th Suppliers` Day (January 13, 2015) at the German company`s Headquarters in Harsewinkel (North Rhine Westphalia), Germany.

World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Supplier Award by CNH Industrial during the first Global Supplier Advisory Council Meeting in Turin: results achieved in WCM certification puts the company in a leading position in the Supply Chain of CNH Industrial.

Special Green Industries mention for the Gearbox plant during the Settimana della Bioarchitettura e della Domotica (November 16-20), the fair in Modena, Italy, dedicated to sustainable solutions: in terms of energy and plant engineering, the plant provides a positive benchmark for the next generation of industrial buildings.
