REVIEW 2009 | OUTLOOK 2010Looking ahead optimisticallySupport for the association „Verein zur Förderung krebs-kranker Kinder Münster e.V.“Making life more livable for child-ren and adolescents who suffer from cancer and have to bear physical and mental strains – this is one of the goals that the association „Verein zur Förde-rung krebskranker Kinder Münster e.V.“ has set. In order to be able to carry out all the association´s concerns there is a need of huge financial effort. RIELA® took the occasion of the Agritechnica 2009 in Hannover for raising money for this charitable association. By buying tickets, vouchers could be won for the International Riding- and Driving Competition 2010 in Riesenbeck as well as price giveaways. By increasing the sales proceeds by RIELA® the amount of € 3.000,- could be transferred. Humanitas Ost-West e.V. keeps on do-nating. Heinz-Josef Wiggers and his friends were able to raise again an en-ormous donation sum in 2009. The donations in detail: An ambulance car to Lipezk in Russia; a sea container packed with wheelchairs; laundry for hospitals and medical de-vices for Ghana; two sea containers with medicine and one sea container with food to North Korea; in total 3 t laundry and sweets for Romania. Many thanks to all dispensers and friends. This is why we from RIELA® may look back on a successful business year 2009 despite difficult general con-ditions due to the global economic crisis. Full of spirit we start into a new surely exciting year 2010. Led by the vision of developing today´s business for tomorrow RIELA® more and more shows up as an inno-vative outrider for thought-out and environmentally friendly systems for drying of biomass and heat recovery via biomass. And especially this yet new line of products shows that even success is possible in hard times.Of course, our core business is and re-mains everything that has to do with after-crop technology for grain and maize. Highest quality and constant further development of our products as well as near to the customer are the guarantor for continuation of our suc-cess story. Standstill means regression – and standstill has never been with RIELA® at any time. Our last year´s activities have not been invisible to anyone. Whether it was the purchase of the Niemeyer halls, the newly built Profi Agro Center in Romania or the many exhibitions and events in our own company. Also the company´s 10th anniversary in Poland. Standstill has never been and will never be with RIELA®.During my business trips I have seen everywhere the consequences of the global economic crisis. Companies worldwide have realized differently fast that they are standing face-to-face with one of the most serious crisis since post-war period – and different-ly fast was their reaction. We rank ourselves to those who have reacted rapidly and correctly. We have economized where possible and have invested where we can safeguard the success for tomorrow and after to-morrow. For 2010 the company´s track stands for growth. Our customer relations in Belarus and Baltic States will be enlar-ged and the new business premises in Russia and Ukraine will be the basis for strengthening our market positions in these countries. The management, our partners ab-road and our employees will use all their power so that also in 2010 we will be the best in the market in this severe competition. You may be keen to see. With kind regards,Karl-Heinz KnoopREVIEW 2009 | OUTLOOK 2010 02 | 0304 | 05From the top you get the right view.Production halls and warehouses, as well as a big office building are part of our huge area. Our new RIELA® halls are located at Münsterstraße 2 in Riesenbeck, in direct neighbourhood to the iron foundry Riesenbeck. After renovation of the halls and ad-justment to the RIELA® production flow after a short time the dryer pro-duction was started. Besides a big production area, huge office premises are part of this real es-tate as well.REVIEW 2009 | OUTLOOK 2010Halls from Niemeyer now belong to RIELA®.Spacious is what the new areas for manufacturing are. Within a short time the halls had been renovated and setup according to the ideas of Karl-Heinz Knoop – totally in the RIELA® style. Hence manufacturing was started fast and storage racks were charged with sheet metal parts. Of course, logistic conditions were considered from in-coming goods department, via fast assembly of separate components up to dispatch. But not only areas for assembly and storage are part of this real estate. A large-scale office building at the Mün-sterstraße belongs to it and is used partly also by other companies.May 4thBy acquisition of the production halls from the former agricultural machinery manufacturer further areas for production were created. This “experi-ment” can be specified as a success. On the Agritech-nica 2009 RIELA® again presented its-elf with an impressive stand for grain technology as well as an additional stand for biomass technology. As a novelty RIELA® presented a 100-t-dryer and a mobile milling and mixing machine which is pulled and driven by a tractor. The whole year 2009 was affected by this topic.Operators of biogas plants and custo-mers of feed-and-turn dryers confirm the numerous usages of the dryer. With its Showtrailer – equipped with feed-and-turn dryer and a heat contai-ner - RIELA® was in Germany, Poland and Sweden on exhibitions and field days. Today they are used for an environment-friendly heat recovery. REVIEW 2009 | OUTLOOK 2010 22 | 23December 3rdThe despatch hall and the exhibition hall were destroyed by a fire. Installation of a new exhibition hall has priority. The shock was profound for the Knoop family and the employees: a fire made the despatch hall unusable. But more important is that no one had been injured. The loss of the exhibition hall has hea-vy effects, it was only equipped with new exhibits one week earlier. For Ja-nuary 2010 already scheduled events could not take place.Alternative rooms need to be installed. Operating at full capacity in the for-mer Niemeyer-halls for being able to exhibit the extensive RIELA® products and at the same time we are working on comfortable surroundings for trai-ning and events. But there is still a lot do until every-thing will be the way it had been be-fore6 o´clock in the morning: fire causes huge damage. The assembly team during recent renovations of the exhibition hall. Access to the fire was only possible with heavy machinery. With 51 action force the fire brigade Riesenbeck was on site. Engines that were stored in the despatch hall cannot be used anymore. How intense heat generation really was can be seen on this engine. Support and side panel had been destroyed through impact of fire. Here a provisional substitute exhibition hall is developed. The new RIELA® halls provide a lot of space for this. The exhibition hall had been central place for customer care as well as for internal and corporate events. It will surely turn into this again.REVIEW 2009 | OUTLOOK 2010 24 | 25Mazejki, LithuaniaSoufflet, RussiaAgro LV, UkraineCSC, Vettweiß, GermanyRIELA® Projects 2009.Customers in Germany, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Belarus have trusted in quality and reliability of RIELA® installations in the past year 2009. Starting from the construction of the first hall in Gniewi-no, the extension by purchasing exi-sting halls up to the extended hall in Czymanowo all the goals have been implemented. In the course of time the installation of an extensive machinery outfit made it possible to take up the production of cleaners, dryers and silos. In particular the own silo production has brought a lot of progress to the company. Today RIELA® is indepen-dent from delivery power and quality of external silo producers. Due to a competent management and high-performance workforce RIELA® Polska has become what it is today. A strong partner of the big RIELA® family. The extension and purchase of high-capacity machines bring the silo production remarkably forward.
