1957: Wilbur Remlinger began designing and creating harrow attachments for local farmers.

1964: Wilbur Remlinger established Remlinger Manufacturing in his barn on the corner of 5^th and Water Street in Kalida, Ohio.

1971: Ground was broken for a new building on the current location at 16394 US 224 just outside of Kalida.

1978: Wilbur Remlinger passed, and his son John took over the company.

1980’s: Diversity became much more of a company focus and several large contracts were secured. One in the guardrail industry which is still held today. Another involved cutting wrist pins for Cummins engines. Approximately 8 semiloads of pins shipped from our facility every month for several years.

1991: The original barn where the company was founded was officially sold and all operations were moved to the main facility located at 16394 US 224.

2000: Our product line was expanded once again with the addition of our Strip Till line. This concept was introduced to us from a local farmer with whom we still work with to this day.

2010: Remlinger purchased PFM Mfg. from Olwein, Iowa which marked Remlinger’s first acquisition. This expanded and diversified our product line further to include Rock Pickers, PTO Ditchers, Bale Slicers, and skid steer Screening Buckets.

2010: Remlinger partnered with Kelly Engineering from Booleroo Centre, Australia and started manufacturing the Kelly Diamond Harrow frames for North America. This partnership has grown to include three machine sizes along with packaging & shipping of complete harrows.

2011: The company became ISO 9001 certified marking another milestone.

2015: Remlinger made its second acquisition with the purchase of the Sukup implement division. This consisted mainly of the 9400 High Speed Cultivator and the 2300 No Till Drill.

2018: The end of one chapter and the beginning of another, John Remlinger named Ron Hovest the new President and CEO of Remlinger. The family tradition is still intact as Ron is the oldest grandson of Wilbur Remlinger. Ron had been the head of engineering for many years with over 30 years of service at Remlinger.

2022: Remlinger entered into an agreement with Paul Martin & Sons to assume all manufacturing and marketing aspects of the Ninja Cover Crop Crimper. This product further diversifies the Remlinger product line.

2023: Wilbur Remlinger is recognized for all of his contributions to the ag industry by being inducted into the Putnam County Ag Hall of Fame.

2024: Remlinger established the Alvin H. Horstman Memorial Scholarship to honor the life of long-time Remlinger Team Member Alvin H. Horstman by supporting a Kalida High School FFA student who shares his same passion in the ag industry. The scholarship will be awarded to one selected student each year.
