This unique invention was introduced at the “Central Agricultural Festival” in Munich the very same year. A first for Germany. The interest was correspondingly great. Two years of expert development followed: precision, durability and performance. These were the pillars upon which the production-ready model was designed. At the end of 1989, the first three mobile sawmills passed the technical inspection. This was the moment SERRA (Latin for ‘saw’) Maschinenbau GmbH was born, on 1 January 1990.
