Vultur gryphus – Linnaeus, 1758) is one of the largest birds of flight on earth. The wingspan of the Condor is approximately 3 metres. When the Condor folds its wings, its total length is approximately 1.2 metres. The Condor has a head which is easy to clean after scavenging. The head of the male is often crowned with a large read comb. Ultimate crop protection 8 Just as its predecessors, the new Condor also boasts the unique StabiloPlus chassis. The basis for this chassis was laid more than 25 years ago. Specifically developed for self-propelled sprayers, the chassis runs smoothly and effortlessly on all uneven surfaces. Crab steer for the most ground friendly weight distribution on grassland, fallow land and slopes, for example, and for reaching those awkward corners with the boom. With the optional headland management system, the steering automatically switches from 2 wheel to 4 wheel and vice versa With automatic GPS guidance, you can keep to a straight line in situations without tramlines or in angled work, even in the dark. The newly-developed air pressure controlled pressure regulator is able to react ultra-quickly to rapidly changing spray widths as often occurs with automatic GPS section control. For correct distribution of crop protection agents and liquid fertilisers, it is essential to have the correct balance and boom height. The system has a very well arranged colour terminal where you can see exactly what is happening in the machine. The most important processes and indicators of the machine are visible at a glance. You can see in colour which fluid is where and which sections are active. Even in bright and direct sunlight, the screen is easy to read and operate. The clarity of the colour touch screen naturally has an automatic day/night switchover. The entire operation of the sprayer is very well thought out and practically oriented. When considering ease of operation, we chose to integrate functions used during spraying into the joystick and the armrest. Thus you have all of the important functions within easy reach. Other settings and readouts are done via the very accessible and intuitive touch screen colour terminal. Switching sections on and off can be done in three different ways: with the knobs in the armrest, with the touch screen, or automatically by GPS. This provides better cover of the leaf surface in all cases. The number of sprayable hours increases because the wind sensitivity of the sprayer decreases significantly. For crop protection in crops such as asparagus plants, maize, sunflowers and oilseed rape, one often wants extra ground clearance in the later stages of growth. The arrival of maize heads, for example, sometimes makes it necessary to spray maize at 2, 3 or even 4 metres high. In other cases, even touching the plants is a problem. For this type of situation, Agrifac introduced ClearancePlus, a Condor self-propelled sprayer with a ground clearance of 2 metres The StabiloPlus chassis is, as usual, continually variably adjustable from 190 to 270 cm in this case. For road transport you can easily lower the StabiloPlus chassis so that driving from field to field is safer with a low centre of gravity and a normal machine height. For the increasing demand for greater track widths, Agrifac also has a solution on hand. This concept has also been applied to filling, cleaning and maintenance work. There is plenty of space for storage, of tools for example, or extra sprayer nozzles, and bottles of chemicals or sacks of powder. The watertight storage area on the left side of the sprayer under the induction hopper panel offers space for clean and protective clothing for personal hygiene and safety. The optional induction hopper with can rinser is located under the left hand panel of the sprayer. The induction hopper is operated by the pressure sensor for a large capacity flush. On the digital display next to the induction hopper, you can read the volumes in both the main and clean water tanks, and you can start or pause filling here too. After filling, the hand washing tank and the soap dispenser are within reach. For users filling from above, there is a large platform for storing crop protection agents. For chemical filling from the platform, there is a can rinser available above the manhole. If you work with premixes and storage tanks, you can choose to fill the main tank with an external pump. Any residual volume, even of liquid fertilisers, can be pumped out quickly and easily back into the storage or premix tanks with the optional drain. For extra fill capacity you can also choose the centrifugal fill pump with a capacity of 700 l/min.
