TKS FeedRobotSystem is probably the only automatic feeding system that can handle roundbales directly without any processing in advance (mixers, choppers, splitting etc.)The FeedRobot collects the bale/block/silage automatically from the magazine when it needs to be refilled. It is very flexible and can handle most kinds of forage; lightly frozen round bales, silage, silage blocks, maiz (corn), pre-mixed material etc. (processing time can vary, depending on material, moisture, structure etc.)The system can also be equipped with up to 3 mineral/concentrate tanks. It can mix minerals into the silage/straw-material, or it can provide only mineral/concentrate feeding to the animals.The wagon has a side-elevator, which feeds out on both sides.Experience with automatic feeding and increased number of feeding times during a 24h period, shows that the animals eats more and performs better (produces more milk and grows faster). For maximum output it is in most cases ideal to have between 6 and 12 feeding cycles during a 24h period. This will give the best effect of the silage. The amount of feeding-material is adjusted individually/in sections. This ensures that even with several animals pr. Section, all animals will have enough food, without having too much material on the floor.If the barn is equipped with Milking robot, more feeding-cycles will give better and more constant flow through the robot, and also better utilization of the whole system. This can also in turn lead to better performance from the animals.Satisfied animals produces more.Every time the silage material is handled an oxidationprocess results in an decrease in quality and taste. By feeding more often, but in smaller portions this problem will almost disappear. The animals will eat up most of the material each time, and leave a minimum for waste. The FeedRobot picks up new bale from magazine when empty.Option 2 : The FeedRobot is filled from a source (mixer wagon, feedhoppers, top-unloaders etc.) Especially developed for farmers that has other feeding material than round bales, or a combination of several types of feed (roundbales, silage blocks, maize (corn), fresh grass etc. ) The FeedRobot fills itself from the source, according to pro-gram.This program can handle 1 filling source for silage/material and 3 for minerals/con-centrate.The FeedRobot can commute when filling, for better utilization of the space inside.2. Menu-programThe Feed Robot can collect feed from up to 10 different sources and 3 different sources of minerals/concentrate. It can commute during filling, and different types of feed can be laid in layers to get a good mix of these. The FeedRobot can then provide different mixes (recipies) to different groups of animals (milkingcows, bulls, young animals, calves etc..) All this can then be distributed in many cycles during a 24h period.Example : 3 x FeedHoppers with different material (roundbales, blocks, maize), 1 x K2 Combicutter with strawbales. There are many possibilities to use specialized adaptable TKS equipment or other types of equipment. The FeedRobot will handle everything according to programmed instructions. The user only need to refill the sources and provide proper maintenance.When using several sources, communication between the FeedRobot and the other equipment is done via radiosignals. The material can be loaded into the FeedRobot with a conveyor-belt from the sources, or directly if the sources are placed high enough.With TKS FeedRobot system you will have one of the most expandable and reliable systems available today. Uses only electrical power – no pollution inside barn, less manual work in feeding prosess, more accurate and consistent feeding-process – every day.TKS K2 FeedRobot 1600User friendly menus and interface :The colour touchscreen is bright, clear and has self-explaining symbols and menus. Use the touchscreen to easy shift from one menu to the other, change parameters, make adjustments, change language and more. Graphical setup of a barn shows the basics. A special setup-guide is very useful for the first time pro-gramming. Step by step run through of all basic things that has to be programmend before startup. The programming is basically to divide the barn into the right groups of animals, and tell the FeedRobot start/stop points for each group on each side. The opera-tor follow the wagon during these steps through the driving route.Then the desired feeding-sequence is set. A feeding-sequence contains the pro-grammed groups of animals to be fed.TKS FeedRobot can have up to 4 different feeding-sequences, and each sequence can run up to 8 times per 24h cycle.Feeding by weight.TKS FeedRobot have weight-cells that gives statistics for the amount of feed, each group of animals is fed. In the program you can enter the desired amount of feed for each day, and how many feedings you want for each group of animals. The computer divides the programmed amount into the entered number of feeding-times. For each feeding the computer calculates how much is left and then recalibrate, so that the total entered amount is fed at the end of the day.The system generates statistics over how many kg. of material each group of animals has been fed each day.To get the data mostly correct, it is vital to enter the approx. amount of dry substance contained in the material which is used. If one mixes roundbales of different quality on the magazine, the average amount of dry-substance has to be determined. If a FeedHopper is used the same method has to be used. If the Menu-program is used, and the FeedRobot fills from different sources, the approx. amount of dry substance for each source has to be entered. This will provide statistics of how much dry-substance each group gets pr. Day.This gives a unique possibility to monitor and adjust the amount of feed the animals eats. All changes in quality and type of material can be measured immediately. One can also optimize the total amounts of cycles pr. 24h, which suits the actual situation at your farm.This system gives you the opportunity to design your specific feeding-schedule with the perfect amount of silage/straw material.Feeding with minerals/concentrate and silage/straw material :A great advantage with TKS FeedRobot system is that you can integrate the automated system for minerals/concentrate. One can program specific cycles for distributing minerals/concentrate only, or it can be mixed in with the silage/straw material. The ability to mix these two feeds together, provides the best possibilities to get a stable pH-value in the animals digestive system.The system are also capable of giving exact amounts to individual animals(in fixed stalls).One can have from 1 to 3 different containers with mineral/concentrate.TKS K2 FeedRobot 1600TKS K2 FeedRobot 1200K2 FeedRobot 1200, for narrow feed-trays :TKS manufacture two models of the FeedRobot :A : Standard model, which is 1600mm wideB : Narrow model, which is 1200mm wide1200 model can be used on feed-trays down to 1400mm width (depending if there are animals on both sides and how high the wagon is hanging).The 1200-model has the same basic construction and features as the standard model. It can handle all types of feed, supplied from different sources/filling stations.The only diversity is that it can not handle whole roundbales. Both models can be equipped with a 1m extension which increases the volume inside. This can be applicable with long feed-trays, or if one need to get more material which has long and very dry straws.Ideal width of the feed-tray is 1600mm, with a height of 500mm underneath the side-elevator.TKS FeedHopper :The FeedHopper is designed to handle various kinds of material as silage, roundbales, blocks, maize, fresh grass, root crop, etc. It is a perfect filling source for the FeedRobot system. The FeedHopper can be used to mix different types of feed, or to mix feed from different harvests (with variations in quality). A typical setup with several FeedHoppers with various feed, can fill layers of different feed inside the FeedRobot, which in turn will mix these layers together when distributing.For mixing roundbales and loose material, it is best to use TKS BaleStrip to unpack the roundbales and split them up. The different material in the FeedHopper can also be put in different layers to get a mix-effect. The bottom-conveyor can be operated manually back and forth, to ensure maximum filling capacity. The FeedHopper can be filled either from the back-end or from the side, using a front loader. Trailer-loads has to be delivered in the back-end. The system is simple and flexible, and can be extended when needed. Since it can handle so many different types of material, it is adaptable if one changes harvesting/storage methods underway. The FeedHopper can be delivered in 3 different lengths; 4 - 7 - 10m. The size depends on the daily amount of feed one needs, and how one can handle the filling procedure pr. Day.The great advantage with the TKS FeedRobot, in combination with the FeedHopper is that you have a automatic and flexible feeding system that can handle most types of feeds, storage and harvesting methods available today. No other system on the market can provide this flexibility. You need to program, fill and refill and maintain. Then the system operates itself, releasing you from the time-consuming and hard labour tasks with feeding.TKS FeedRobot SystemTKS FeedBrush :The FeedRobot can be equipped with rotating brushes mounted on a suspension rack underneath. These brushes keeps the feed-tray clean and moves the silage/material back to the animals. When the animals are fed they start to sort and throw the material around. Some of it is then hard to reach, and if left there for too long, it has to be discarded to waste (which is bad economy).The FeedBrush is operated together with the trolleys, which controls operation and direction. It reduces work needed on the feed-tray to a minimum. It also results in a better overall economy with a significant less waste of feed.The system can be refitted to older versions, and also on other railmounted models.Fits on feed-trays from 2-3m width.TKS FeedRobot SystemNew revolutionary knife-system :The main cutting-drum is now equipped with knifes with a unique quick-lock system. Most machines with knifes fitted have bolted solutions. When worn out, or when you have to sharpen, it can be very time-consuming to replace these.Our new system is based on a quick-lock system, which is mounted or dismounted with only a knock with a hammer. Earlier it would take maybe 1 hour or more to replace all knifes, now it could be less than 5 minutes.They are safe, reliable and functional. For best everyday operation it is vital that the knifes are in perfect shape, and sharpened when needed (can vary depending on material and operating hours). Badly kept knifes will extend operating time. It will also affect the overall condition on bearrings, axels, powertransmissions and motors.Keeping your system in perfect condition extends the machines overall lifetime.TKS FeedMixerThe stationary vertical mixer is manufactured by BvL, which has a co-operation with TKS. Together we have developed a special designed el-powered mixer. It will provide a very good mixing result in a minimum of time. It is well-suited to mix material of different structure and quality. It is vital that smaller particles and measures are mixed quickly into the total blend before the structure is destroyed. The FeedMixer is perfect to cut and mix roundbales, blocks etc, of all kinds, with its powerful motor. The vertical auger has a unique design, which improves overall cutting and reduces operating time.The FeedMixer will produce high quality mixtures which has the perfect structure for the animals to eat, and also for the FeedRobot to distribute out on the feed-tray. Especially on material with high content of water/moisture. If this is mixed for too long time it will squeezed together in lumps, and be less attractive to the animals. This will again affect on the actual intake of feed.To maximize the output with this method of feeding, it is vital to have the best knowledge about the material available, the animals needs and performance. Then one have to prepare the “right” recipies, mix times and ensure that this is followed every time. Otherwise this can inflict on the production of milk or growth rate on the animals.The FeedMixer is delivered with :- 30kW motor for the 6,5 – 10m3 versions - 37kW motor for the 12 – 20m3 versions- 45kW motor for the 24 – 30m3 versions- 6,5 – 14m3 has one auger, all the bigger models has two augers.It can be delivered with or without weightcells. All functions are el.controlled. The side-cutters operates during mixing, and are pulled out during emptying. If the Mixer shall deliver feed several times pr. Day, the emptying-hatch is closed automatically after each cycle.The Mixer can be equipped with a sensor, which starts mixing when a new load appears over the machine. When the weight-cells registers less than 200kg of feed remaining, the rotation-speed on the auger(s) increase. Then there will be sufficient space for the animals to eat safely when the FeedRobot operates.The system can operate with 1 or 2 runway-beams. 1 runway beam is used when it is needed to have curved tracks. The size of the beams is decided by how the roof-suspension can be set up.The FeedRobot with fully load mineral/concentrate tank weighs approx. 1650kg, and the weight of a large roundbale can be approx. 1200kg : a total of 2850kg, divided into how many trolleys; with 2 trolleys on a single track the load will be approx. 1425kg pr. Trolley. With 4 trolleys on a double track system the load will be approx. 712kg pr. The drum is operated with a pressure sensitive control system, which controls the flow of material against the drum, to prevent overload.K2 Combicutter is a high output machine for manual feeding situations. The operator controls the machines function and move-ment (if provided with wheels or trolleys). Both driving alternatives has frequency inverters on motors, for soft acceleration/dece-leration. This gives much better control and safety. Several thousand installations are running on a daily basis. The system was introduced in the early 1990´s, and many of the first installation are still operational.For small and medium sized farms, especially with fixed stables, this is a very cost-effective way of feeding. When feeding in free-stables it is vital to ensure enough space for all animals to eat at the same time, to avoid fighting when the wagon arrives.Recommendations :Program the APF to run almost full 24h cyclus. Experi-ence shows that the animals eat by appetite and not only when system is running. After a startup period when the animals get used to the wagon running, the environment in the barn is very calm.For distribution of minerals/concentrate, this can be por-tioned exactly to each individual animal if fixed in stable. One should have at least 4 or more cycles with concen-trate feeding to get best effect. The program can have up/downscaling towards each animal to optimize the use of concentrate.APF Touch have user friendly and self-explanating menues, can be mounted in single or double runway-beam. For best stability we recommend a double runway-beam when applicable. Especially oxes likes to “play” with the wagon.It can be filled with all kinds of material from any source. Automatic filling can be handled by the program if the source has electric control system.NetPrint BryneTKS BaleStripA PATENTED revolutionary product for the farmer who uses roundbales extensively in his feeding process. This machine handles roundbales like any other frontloader-mounted device. But it also removes the plastic wrapping and net in one operation. It will save you enormous amounts of time and labour.
