The efficiency and profitability of pig production is primarily determined by the quantity and quality of piglets transferred from the labour sector to further rearing. Therefore, in modern and well-organized farms, it is important to allocate the appropriate number of rooms – outlets and equip them with the right number of pens, in accordance with the assumed breeding cycle. The construction of the pen and the maternity equipment must guarantee proper breeding conditions and safety for piglets. The basic component of each delivery pen is the farrowing yoke.
