Lastec is the company that revolutionized the turf industry with the introduction of the Articulator over two decades ago. Prior to the Articulator, wide area rotary mowers used 72” (1.8 M) or wider rigid decks that scalped and missed grass in contoured turf. Articulators use multiple rotary decks that individually follow the contours of the ground with cutting widths up to 11 feet wide that mow grass with the accuracy of a small push mower. Today, every major manufacturer has followed Lastec’s lead by offering their version of an articulating rotary, but since articulating rotary mowers are Lastec’s only product line, our focus allows us to maintain our lead in this unique product niche.
