The underlying idea
Entrepreneurs within agriculture have been meeting in Jönköping since 1961. The idea then, as now, was to create a vibrant meeting-place for people who work in the agricultural industry.
The fairs aim to be a shared meeting-place for visitors and exhibitors where they can do business, establish contacts, build networks, pass on knowledge and see the latest developments.
Elmia Agriculture, Livestock & Technology is the meeting-place where products related to livestock management and farm equipment are exhibited. Elmia Agriculture, Machinery & Cultivation is a comprehensive meeting-place for exhibitors and visitors who work with, or are interested in, products related to crop cultivation in the field.

There are all kinds of reasons why you should exhibit at Elmia Agriculture, Livestock & Technology. It is no coincidence that agricultural fairs have been held at Elmia for over 50 years. We know about fairs and people like visiting us. Here visitors get to see, smell, touch, hear and taste. No other marketing channel can affect the senses like a trade fair.

Exhibiting at Elmia is inexpensive. You get to meet over 24,000 interested people over four days. The cost of a stand is a basic fee of SEK 7,500 and stand hire of SEK 630/m2. No advertising campaigns in the world can compete with that.
The fair is always covered extensively by the press. This means your company can gain wide marketing exposure outside of the fair too if you make the right preparations.
Who exhibits at the agricultural fair?
Elmia Agriculture, Livestock & Technology is for exhibitors with products and services for farmers. The products must be connected to farms or livestock management. Buildings, stable equipment, feed management, milking equipment, livestock care products, energy production. There is a long list.
Tractors, equipment and products related to crop cultivation in the field are not shown at the Livestock & Technology fair. Instead these products are shown at Elmia Agriculture, Machinery and Cultivation 2014.
Who visits the agricultural fair?
Elmia Agriculture, Livestock & Technology is a trade fair. Consequently it is mainly people who work in the agricultural industry who visit the fair. No consumers, pre-school classes or school pupils, except for pupils from agricultural colleges. Visitors come from right across Sweden (Götaland 72%, Svealand 19%, Norrland 6%).
3% are international visitors from Norway, Finland and Denmark.
In 2011 the fair attracted 24,120 visitors.
