LIGNA 2017

On day two of LIGNA 2015 (12 May), there will be a series of lectures on "Integrated Manufacturing in the Furniture Industry" at the Robotation Academy. Located right in the heart of the LIGNA venue, the Robotation Academy provides year-round training courses amid permanent displays of high-tech robotics and automation equipment – so it’s a perfect fit for this event’s theme. Industry 4.0 experts and LIGNA exhibitors will use the lectures to present intelligent automation solutions and best-practice examples that are specific to the furniture industry.  Faced with ever-growing expectations in terms of efficiency and product individualization, furniture makers are increasingly turning to automated production for answers. It’s a growing trend – and one that cuts across all types of manufacturing, from one-off to mass production, and all classes of furniture makers, from niche craftsmen to mid-sized manufacturing firms.
