2020 IPPE Has Strong Show
ATLANTA, Ga. –Feb. 27, 2020–The 2020International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) had 31,504animal food, meat and poultryindustry leaders from all over the world in attendance,withan 8% increase in the number of buyers from last year. A total of 1,377exhibitors showcased theirlatest technologyand solutions,withmore than 573,000 square feet of exhibit space. IPPEis the world`s largest annual feed, meat and poultry industry eventof its kind and is one of the 30 largest trade shows in the United States. IPPE is sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, American Feed Industry Association and North American Meat Institute.
There were 8,063international visitorsfrom 129countries at IPPE. The largest group from a single country outside the U.S. was Canada with 1,176visitors. The largest region represented included the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and South America with 3,334visitors.
“There was a greatturnout forthe 2020IPPE. With fourhalls and extendednetworking opportunities, we expect the 2021IPPE to provide evenmoreeconomic value for attendees and exhibitors,” remarkedthe three organizations.
In addition to complementing the exhibit floor, aweek-long schedule of education programs helped drive attendanceand provided information toindustry professionals on the latest issues. This year’s educational line-up featured 200-plus hours of sessions, ranging from meat and poultry quality, biosecurity as it pertains to foreign animal disease, processing for antibiotic-free production, and a multilingual program focused on broiler and layer production and processing issues affecting Latin America.
